Condoms

The condom protects you from HIV transmission. It is probably the best-known safer sex method. The condom also reduces the risk of contracting other sexually transmitted diseases.

Condoms

Unprotected anal sex is the main cause of HIV infection. The condom offers you just as much protection as the PrEP or Protection through therapy.

It is important to use them correctly:

  • Always use plenty of lubricant (water-soluble or silicone-based) to prevent the condom from tearing. Greases and oils such as Vaseline massage oil damage the rubber and are therefore not suitable.
  • First pull the rubber over the stiff cock, then spread the lubricant on the outside of the condom.
  • Use a new condom for each sexual partner.
  • Check from time to time whether the condom is still in place. Change the condom during long, intense sex.
  • After fucking, pull the cock out while it is still stiff and hold the rubber in place.

You should pay attention to the following with condoms:

  • the qualitythe condom should have a CE mark, for example
  • one undamaged packaging and the Best before date
  • the Correct storageProtect rubbers from heat (e.g. direct sunlight) and pressure (therefore do not keep them in your wallet or trouser pocket for long periods).
