Sebastian at the start

How does the 22-year-old from Augsburg feel as a role model?

For a few days now, the Pictures and the story of Sebastian online at ICH WEISS WAS ICH TU. The 22-year-old student from Augsburg will be featured in the IWWIT adverts in the gay press in June. We asked him how it feels to be a role model at the start.

Sebastian, you're finally online. Are you happy?

I already knew the text. Only the pictures were new to me.

And do you like yourself?

Well, you always think you're daft in pictures.

Have you already received feedback?

Not much so far. I was in the middle of an exam rush at university and had pretty much shut myself off. My boyfriend said the pictures looked terrible. I then told him: it's not that bad! (laughs)

You talk at length in the interview about how your parents didn't want you to be openly gay. How do they feel about you being a role model online?

I told them that, but they didn't say much about it. I don't think they've seen it yet. They're not that internet-savvy. I also didn't tell them that I was at a porn party in Würzburg.

Porn party?

There was a party where the guys from the label Erocreations put on a show on stage. We handed out condoms and talked to people.

What did you think of the show?

Oh yes, it's not something I need every weekend, but you can take a look at it. (laughs)

How do you actually feel about the fact that you are on the Internet with relatively intimate information?

Oh, I don't think they're that intimate - I'm happy to tell someone about them!

You found out about a casting www.dbna.com to ICH WEISS WAS ICH TU. Why did you apply there?

I wanted to get to know something new and find out more about the AIDS service organisation's educational work. And of course you're also curious to see how people react to you.

Are we all a little vain?

Yes, exactly! (laughs out loud)

Sebastian tells in his History about coming out in the Bavarian countryside, how he started his gay life online and what he thinks about sex and relationships.
