Small notes

How do I tell him I'm HIV+? A web video shows the way.
Important message on the mirror

Boris and Nadir, two young gay Frenchmen, live in an unspecified French city, presumably Paris.

Nadir works as a waiter in a cruising bar, always ready with a sympathetic ear and good advice. Boris is a regular there, always ready for a quick adventure in the darkroom. Both are looking for the man for life. Whether it's a guy for a quickie, for one night or for longer: there are always decisions to be made about sex. And they talk about it.

Boris and Nadir are the heroes of a seven-part web video series that runs on YouTube and elsewhere. In the latest 90-second film entitled "Kleine Zettel", they offer an original solution to the question of how to tell your lover that you are HIV-positive. Sometimes it's not that easy, because the fear of being turned down or dumped is huge. And from time to time, you can actually be put on the spot. The when and how of communicating your serostatus is therefore a bit of an art.

In "Kleine Zettel", the host leaves the house early, hurrying off to work. His conquest wakes up next to a series of handwritten notes that lure him into the kitchen for coffee. And then there's a little surprise waiting in the bathroom...

The series "Boris and Nadir" is a project of the French porn label Citebeur and SNEG, the interest group of gay and lesbian business owners and homo-friendly companies. A state-funded prevention programme for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases has existed under this umbrella since 1992. The videos are available in French, Spanish and English.
