The CSD season has begun!

Bright sunshine and I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING at the first CSD of the year in Lörrach.

Yes, already! The first German CSD of the year took place in Lörrach on Saturday. ICH WEISS WAS ICH TU rocked the city centre with its truck. "We are many!" is the slogan of the campaign for the CSD season - which the rollers immediately proved.

It suddenly got warm. Just in time for the first German CSD, spring came out of the starting blocks after all. As the CSD Südwest parade made its way through the streets of Lörrach, the tranquil town of 50,000 inhabitants, located directly on the border triangle of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, was bathed in bright sunshine.

The organisers had ambitious plans: a gala on the evening before, a street festival, parade and closing party. And indeed, the second CSD in Lörrach attracted significantly more participants than last year. They were treated to the likes of Lilo Wanders, Carlos Fassanelli and his Harald and singer Stephan Runge.

Of course, ICH WEISS WAS ICH TU didn't miss out on the start of the CSD season and rocked the city centre with its truck. Lilo Wanders was the figurehead, attracting a lot of attention to herself and the truck. The preventionists from the nationwide prevention project "Gentle Man" from Baden-Württemberg and colleagues from nearby Basel handed out cruising packs and information material - and had a lot of fun themselves.

Our role models then took to the stage to answer questions. Wheelchair user Corrie made it clear that you can have a fulfilling sex life as a gay man with a disability. Also taking part: Andreas ("I talk about sex without inhibitions") and Thilo and René, who live openly HIV-positive in a village in Brandenburg.

The boys went down really well with the audience. Together, they showed how diverse the community is and brought to life the slogan with which ICH WEISS WAS ICH TU is going on a CSD tour this year: "We are many!"

See you on the streets!
