Tonight, as part of the "YoungSTARS" sauna event at the Phoenix Sauna in Essen, IWWIT contacts Thilo, Timo and Marcel will be on hand to answer questions from the boys and men in attendance
Marcel doesn't have that far to go. He works for the city of Essen. We don't know if he's coming straight from the office, but he doesn't have to turn up the heating at home. Because with a forecast of 3 degrees at 7 p.m. in Essen, there's no better place to be warm and cosy tonight than the Phoenixsauna in Essen. The YoungSTARS party there on St Nicholas Day will not only be hot because of the young people in attendance, but also because IWWIT wants to and will talk to the mainly younger visitors about living with HIV and how to deal with it.
The audience knows Marcel not only as an IWWIT role model from the campaign's December adverts, but also from the posters of the current World AIDS Day campaign "Positiv zusammen leben" (Living Positively Together) by the German AIDS Service Organisation, the German AIDS Foundation and the Federal Ministry of Health, so he's a bit of a star. IWWIT role model Thilo will be there for longer and campaign member Timo has travelled from the north of Germany especially to be in Essen. They can all provide accurate information about living with HIV and all three cut a fine figure in just a towel.
Following its successful premiere in June, today's YoungSTARS is the second joint production by IWWIT, Phoenix-Sauna and AIDS-Hilfe Essen. More are to follow. We wish our three boys and all other visitors a successful and exciting evening.
