"The virus has shaped my biography," says René. The 48-year-old has been living with HIV since 1993 - and has been a pensioner and working odd jobs for almost 18 years. Nevertheless, René looks at younger HIV-positive people without envy. He thinks it's great that they can lead a normal working life thanks to better medication.
